Printer ink is pretty much the modern inkpot into which we dip out quills and write. In today’s fast-paced technological age, where almost all of us lead computerized lives in every aspect, we rarely put pen to paper, and even when we do want something in hard copy, we turn to our printers. Since our printers are pretty much our lifelines both in the official aspect of our life and also in our personal lives, we have to make sure that we get proper ink cartridges, printer ink and toner cartridges. Without proper printer ink, our printers are pretty much useless to us. Moreover, using low quality ink or cheap ink that is not compatible with our printer can result in technical problems.
Printers and Ink
Printer ink is something that is of a very specific nature. Depending on the type of printer you have, whether it is an inkjet or a laser printer, different models have different specifications. Each printer model, type and brand has different ink cartridges or toner cartridges. Each company has strict specifications as to which cartridge you should use and rightly so. Every printer has different fitments and fittings, different machinations and sizes and different methods of printing and ink release. All cartridges are built to suit these and the ink used in these ink cartridges is designed to provide the best quality print; not necessarily what you get from a compatible ink product.
Finding the right ink cartridges
Locating and buying the right printer ink is something akin to a major expedition. You have to scourge through malls and shops and computer outlets to try and locate the right printer ink. If you have a slightly old model or a less popular model, then this buying procedure becomes even more complicated. Retail shops and outlets only store the cartridges that are for popular printer models or generate large profit for them. There are very few places where you can get the complete range of toners and cartridges. Some people try the internet but again the shipping costs for most cartridges make the price double. Shipping of printer ink in large quantities makes the cost of the shipping itself so high. In addition, there are very few authentic vendors with a large number of people selling surplus goods online.
However, a recent spate of companies and online sites and stores that specialize in inks, toners and cartridges for printers can make life easier. These companies just store inks and cartridges of all types, models and brands. It is just about finding the right dealer who can give you the best price for the best quality of inks and service. These people guarantee original brands and company manufactured inks and not some mass-produced rehash of their own factories.
This problem is mostly faced by large printing presses and publishing houses that require large quantity of printing. These companies will be a boon for them.
